You may not know this but all Thoroughbreds celebrate their birthdays on January 1st. Thoroughbreds all have their birthday on the same day. This makes it easier for keeping racing,breeding and showing records.

Done a little redecorating on the blog we see... nice use of Big Red there
gotta see what I can do to keep up with the jones' or the john's!
Hopefully I am going to try and come up with some unusual angles, maybe the view from behind the horse, something like that! I gotta say, every time I hear that Belmont call I get goosebumps, I was 14 in '73 and having a Granny that lived in Lexington (I lived in Pottstown, PA at the time) so I had been a triple crown fan for quite a while, but this is still one of my "most memorable moments" in televised sports. So Big Red stays up for inspiration for a banner 2007. I can't wait for the derby trail to heat up!!!!!
On the big birthday day (aka NYD) I went out to the barn and gave the lass, as well all her stable mates, a treat of apples & carrots.
