Blinkers Off...signing off

Not that many still check my dormant blog but although my interest in Thoroughbred racing remains strong, the demands of a busy life have left me no time to post meaningful content or rambling observations or even comment on my latest losing wager. It is a busy time just making it through my daughter's 2 soccer teams, horse lessons, my newfound running "hobby" (completed the Derby Festival Half Marathon and going full speed ahead with training and running in the Columbus Marathon this fall) and my son has finalized his college selection and will be a graduating high school in two short weeks. So, while I do miss posting (and really) miss most is reading the other blogs regularly, I feel it would be a disservice to the TBA to continue with my blog. I will most likely leave the content up, if nothing more than for fond memories and maybe a return to posting someday. But for now I am signing off and riding into the sunset of my foray into the blogosphere. If you stumble upon this blog, please check the TBA for some really great content, insighful posts and a great group of passionate Throughbred racing enthusiasts.

no one leaves, c'mon, you'll be back. good luck to your son at college, hope you run a PR at the Ohio Marathon, and hope to see you back blogging when you can.

Yes Joe, we'll be here in cyberland waiting for you. It would be great to have some TBA boots on the ground down there in Lexington.

Take care . . .

I know how it is, as I've really fallen off the wagon myself, lately. I've been putting in maintenance post after maintenance post instead of the well reasoned and fully cocked blow-hardery I envisioned. it's ok to take six months off then pop up some Breeders Cup comments, though. Perfectly ok. Just don't delete your archives just yet is all i'm saying.

It's not easy to keep up, do hope to see you back. I read through your archives and you had a lot to offer, from the greatest horse racing area in the country, if not the world.

Joe, what's been going on. Howsabout a BC post about who you like, or what you've been up to.

Hey just discovered your blog though me wanting to do a piece on Barbaro. All down to my friend lending me the film about his short life and carreer. I write about Danish horse racing, in Danish I'm sorry to say, but do have entries in English. I'm wondring weather to stop that -also due to time and effort issues.

I've used the photo you used, and I don't know if that's alright or where to ask, so if not let med know, and I'll remove! Sorry you're stoping. The more blogs/sites about horse racing the better ;-)

As I couldn't find an email, I'm writing here!

Kind Regards from Denmark
